Primergy CX400, Cloud Server with Air Cooling System

Fujitsu Primergy server launches Cloud CX400 x86 Extension. Server is claimed to be ready for cloud technology and has a cooling system of water cooling (cooling water through the pipes), not the fan. Country Manager of Platform Product Fujitsu explain this server has only half the size of a standard server rack space. So that users can cut costs, energy efficient and capable optimized for large-scale virtualization.

The use of water-cooling technology is claimed to save investment costs for energy, than when using a cooling fan that is more wasteful. Due to the high functionality and want to save costs and energy, the server is equipped with cooling of the water pipe.

CX400 server is more compact, measuring one-half of the standard server models. Fujitsu makes a server rack includes four independent dual-socket server nodes and 24 drives for local storage into a more compact 2U enclosure. Server Primergi CX series uses an Intel Xeon E5-2600 is guaranteed to be able to send data input and output delivery is fast.

Motorola Sue Apple for iPhone 4S Microchip

After fierce fighting in Germany, Motorola sued Apple back in San Diego Federal Court, the United States, for alleged breach of patent license agreement between Motorola wireless with Qualcomm. The lawsuit is related to the MDM6610 Qualcomm base-band chip, which produced a subsidiary of Qualcomm for use on the iPhone 4S.

This patent was filed on Motorola’s chip against Apple in Germany, last month. Because Motorola considers that this patent is owned by Motorola and Qualcomm, which is bound in a contract. However, the German court decided in early February, Apple does not infringe the patent, since the company founded by Steve Jobs has been paid for the license to Qualcomm.

Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs has ever said, Apple has paid a license related to the use of Qualcomm baseband chip is MDM6610. And at the end of last week, Motorola sued Apple back on the same patent. Apple stated that they have a purchase agreement with Qualcomm. According to Apple, Motorola top right of the European Patent No. 1010336 or equivalent to U.S. Pat. 6359898, has been out of contract.

And as users and payers license to Qualcomm, Apple is a third party beneficiary of the agreement. Motorola, represented by Christa Smith, declined comment on details of the case. Apple Lost from Motorola in Germany and have to Recall Apple’s Product

No Selling Apple iPhone and iPad 4 in Germany

For business-defendants sued patents, in many countries Apple is more likely to win. However, against Motorola in Germany, this is not true. After December 2011 from Motorola and Apple lost a patent related to 3G/UMTS standard in Germany, now Motorola also won a patent that is used in the push mail service iCloud from Apple.

Andreas Voss is a judge of the Mannheim Regional Court which states that Apple has violated Motorola patents registered in Europe Patent 0847654 (B1) on the “status of the synchronization system and method of double pager” in 2002. This makes Apple should pull their mobile devices that use IOS operating system in stores online. The recalled products include the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, and iPad are using 3G/UMTS technology.

According to a spokesman for Apple, these products are still available in retail stores and Apple authorized resellers. However, it seems that the Motorola will not stay silent, they will do everything possible so that the products are completely withdrawn from the market.

Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 4S, not on the list of Apple products are withdrawn. Therefore, the iPhone 4S uses Qualcomm’s base band radio. Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs once said, Apple has been paying royalties to Qualcomm base band related to the use of the radio.
